Know all men by these presents, that I John Runnells of Kent County in the State of Delawary, for and in Consideration of the sum of Fifty pounds paid Specy to me in hand paid or well Securd or to be paid by Thomas Smith of the County aforesaid the Receit whereof I also hereby acknowledge myself fully Satisfide Contented and paid. have bargained Sold Set over and Delivered by these presents In plain and opened according to the due form of Law in such Cases maid and provided do bargain Sell Set over and deliver unto the Said Thomas Smith one negro named Thomas Winger about thirty years of age To be haven and holden of him they said Thomas Smith his heirs administrators or assigns. And the said John Runnells for my self my Executors administrators the said negro man named Thomas Dingy to the said Thomas Smith Executors Administrators or assigns my self the said John Runells and my Executors and administrators and against all manner of persons has sured shall and will warrant and defend by thes presents Witnesseth whereof together with the Delivery of the afs herd by bargained and Sold one negro Thomas Dingy the Said John Runnells have and to set my hand Seal and fixed my Seal this Eight day of October in the year of our Lord one Thousand seven hundred Eighty seven.
