Know all men by these presents that I Andrew Barratt Esqr high Sheriff of Kent County on Delaware do hereby Certify that by Virtue of a Write of Venditioni Exponas to me directed issued out of the Court of Common pleas of said County I did among other things set up at public Vendue a certain negro Man called Tony (taken In Execution as the property of William Brown Merchant in the town of Dover in Said County) and Sold the Said negro Man in Manner as aforesaid to himself for the Sum of forty Six Shillings he being the highest and best bidder _ Which Said Sum I acknowledge to have received this 18th day of February in the year of  Our Lord one thousand Seven hundred and Ninety One.
