Deed Sally Ann Lightfoot To Charles Griffin
This Indenture made the Thirty first day of October in the year of our Lord One thousand eight hundred and fifty Between Sally Ann Light foot of the City of Philadelphia in the state of Pennsylvania daughter of George Lightfoot decd. Formerly of Dover Delaware of the One part and Charles Griffin of the town of Dover in Kent County and State of Delaware of the other part Witnesseth that the said Sally Ann Lightfoot for and in consideration of the sum of Twenty dollars lawful money of the State of Delaware to her in hand paid by the said Grifin, Hath granted bargained and sold and by these presents doth grant bargain and sell unto the said Charles Griffin his heirs and assigns forever, All her undivided one fourth part of all that House and lot of ground Situate in the town of Dover in the County and State aforesaid adjoining to Lands now of Patience Hobbs, John Mansfield and lands of Thomas Harris & wife on the north, being the same house and lot the said George Lightfoot died seized of, Together with all the houses buildings fixtures and improvements woods ways, waters and watercourses easements tenements privileges and appurtenances to the same belonging and all rents issues and profits Thereof. Together with all the rights reversion and reversions remainder and remainders, To Have and to hold all the said undivided one fourth part of all the said house and lot and premises with the appurtenances unto the said Charles Griffin his heirs and assigns to and for the only proper use and behoof of the said Charles Griffin his heirs and assigns forever. Signed Sealed and delivered in presence of us – the word “part” between the 18 & 19th lines of this deed was interlined before its execution.

Be it remembered that on this thirty first day of October in the year of our Lord one thousand Eight hundred and fifty before the subscriber one of the commissioners of the State of Delaware Authorized to Administer Oaths &c and to take acknowlegedments in Pennsylvania personally appeared Sally Ann Lightfoot the Grantor named in the foregoing Indenture and in due form of law acknowledged the same to be her act and deeds and desired that the same might be recorded as such. In testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal the day and year above written, F.A. Raybold Commissioner
