Know all Men by these presents that I Charles Nixon of Kent County & State of Delaware for and in Consideration of the Sum of fifteen pounds have granted Bargained & Sold to John Freeman One negroe Woman named Hannah late the property of Preston Young deceased together with her female child three Years old named Sarah for & during the term of ten Years to Commence from the date hereof and to be fully ended and completed the 16th day of June which will be in the Year One thousand Eight hundred as to the Said Negro Woman named Hannah. And twenty Years to commence from the date and to be fully ended and Completed the 16th day of June which will be in the Year One thousand Eight hundred and ten as to the Said Negroe Child named Sarah and I the Said Charles Nixon for my self my heirs & Executors the said Negroe Woman & Child unto the Said John Freeman his Heirs Exers. Admrs. & Assigns against me the Said Charles Nixon my Heirs Exrs. & Admrs. Shall & Will Warrant & forever defend. And the said Negroe Woman Hanah after the expiration of ten Years as aforesaid is hereby Manumitted Liberated & forever Sett free and clear from us the Said Charles Nixon & John Freeman our Heirs Exers. Admrs. & Assigns and the Said Negroe child named Sarah after the expiration of twenty Years as aforesaid is hereby Manumitted Liberated & forever Sett free and clear from us the Said Charles Nixon & John Freeman our Heirs Exrs Admrs. & Assigns. And if the Said Negro Woman Hanah or Negroe child Sarah Should have any child or children Within the time Specified for their Servitude Such Child or children if males are hereby declared free at the Age of twenty Five Years & if females are hereby declared free at the age of twenty years and all the Children of the Said Negroes had after the Expiration of the before Specified Term of Servitude are free forever. The Said Negroes are to be Emancipated & freed at the Risque & Charge of him the John Freeman his Heirs Exrs. & Admrs.
