Whereas I Anna Adams of Kent County in the State of Delaware am entitled to and possessed of a certain negro Man named George and sirnamed lightfoot and being induced by a variety of reasons to Contribute thus far towards the general abolition of Slavery, now Know all Men by these presents that I do hereby liberate set free and discharge the said George, and hereby renounce and relinquish all my right and title to his person and services forever, and entirely quit claim thereto.
