Manumission James Alford from John Freeman 1792

To all to whom these presents shall come Know ye that I John Freeman for and in consideration of the sum of Two shillings and six Pence to me in hand paid by Lucretia Alford the Wife of James Alford, do by these presents Manumit and set free the said James Alford And forever discharge him the said Negro James Alford from me my Heirs Exers Administrators & from all persons whatsoever Claiming under me my Heirs, Executors or administrators, As Witness my hand and Seal this ^the twentieth day of September one thousand, seven hundred, and ninety two 1792.
