State of Delaware To all whom these presents Shall come Greeting I John Day of Kent County and State of Delaware for divers good causes and Considerations me thereunto moveing do hereby declare Free manimit and infranchise the Negroes following to wit Negroe David To be free in five years from the first day of January Seventeen hundred and ninety Seven 1797. Negroe Boy James to be free in Seventeen Years from the first day of January Seventeen hundred, and ninety seven 1797 Hereby Acknowledging the said Negroes David and James discharged from all Claim of Service or right whatsoever from me My Heirs Executors administrators, as Witness my Hand and Seal this eighth day of March in the Year Seventeen Hundred and ninety seven 1797.
