Transfer of John from Benjamin Blackiston to James Spear 1803

Know all men by these presents that I James Spear of Duck Creek Hundred & Kent County have this 29th day of December 1803 Purchased of Benjamin Blackiston a Negro Boy named John or Jack which I agree he is to serve me the said Spear Six Years from the [illegible] Date and I do further agree that I am not to sell him disagreeable to the Laws of the State of Delaware, and that I bind myself & my heirs Executors or admirs to return that said Negro Jack to the said Benjamin Blackiston or to his heirs at the Expiration of the Afsd.
