Know all men by these presents that I Samuel H. Round of Kent County in the State of Delaware physician for divers good causes and considerations me hereunto moving hath manumitted emancipated, liberated and set free and by these presents doth manumit emancipate liberate & set free the following negro slaves the property of me the said Samuel H. Rownd, to wit, Negro Tabitha when she arrives to the age of twenty eight years she being now seventeen years old, Negro Rachel when she arrives at the age of twenty eight years she being now twelve years old. Negro William when he arrives to the age of twenty eight years he being now twenty years old, and Negro Abel when he arrives to the age of twenty eight years he being now twelve years old, and I hereby declare the said several negroes free people only I hereby reserve to myself my heirs executors administrators and assigns the service & labour of the said negroes and each of them until each of them shall arrive to the age of twenty eight years as afsd. In witness whereof I the said Samuel H. Round have hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal the twenty first day of october in the year of our lord one thousand eight hundred and three. 1803. Sam. H. State of Delaware Kent County} I hereby certify that on the day of the date of the within manumission Samuel H. Rownd personally appeared before me Nathaniel Smithers one of the Justices of the peace for said County, and did legally execute and acknowledge the within instrument of writing as his act and Deed for the uses intents purposes therein mentioned according to the purport and effect thereof: In testimony whereof I have here to set my hand.
