Manumission Robert from Letitia Dill 1801

Know all men by these presents that I Letetia Dill of Murderkill Hundred Kent County in the State of Delaware widow for divers good causes and considerations me hereto moving have and by these presents, doth, manumit Emancipate liberate and Set free a certain Negro man Named Robert the Slave of me the Said Letetia Dill, and I hereby declare the Said Robert to be a free man to all intents and purposes from and after the date of these presents, In Witness whereof I have hereunto Set my hand & affixed my seal the Eighteenth day of December in the year of Our Lord one thousand Eight hundred and one. Kent County State of Delaware } Be it remembered that Letetia Dill party to the above manumission personally appeared before me Nathaniel Smithers one of the Justices of the peace for said County and did acknowledge the said manumission as her act and Deed for the uses intents and purposes therein mentioned, In Testimony whereof I have hereto set my hand and affixed my Seal the Eighteenth day of December in the year of Our Lord one thousand Eight Hundred and One.
