Manumission Richard, Cato, Roger and Daniel from Andrew Gray 1803

Know all men by these presents that I Andrew Gray of Kent County in the State of Delaware do hereby manumit liberate & set free a Negroe Richard aged thirty years eight months & nine days, reserving his service to me. My heirs executors administrators or assigns until the first of January in the year of our Lord eighteen hundred & Six, in testimony whereof I have hereunto affixed my hand and seal this ninth day of September eighteen hundred and three. Know all men by these presents that I Andrew Gray of Kent County in the State of Delaware do hereby manumit liberate and set free negro Daniel aged nineteen years nine months and nineteen days, reserving his service to me my heirs executors administrators or assigns until the first day of January eighteen hundred and seventeen, in testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this ninth day of September eighteen hundred and three. State of Delaware Kent County } Ss. I do hereby certify that on the ninth day of September in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and three, Personally came Andrew Gray party to the above and foregoing manumissions before me Benjamin Brady one of the Justices of the peace in and for said County and did acknowledge the same as his act and Deed and delivered them for the use and purpose therein mentioned Given under my hand and Seal the day and year above written.
