State of Delaware Kent County } Ss To all Persons to whom these Presents Shall come, greeting Know ye, that for diverse good causes & Considerations me thereunto moveing I Thomas Bell Preacher of the Gospel, of the State & County afsd. Do hereby duth free, manumit & enfranchise the Negro following Viz. Rachel hereby declaring the said Negro from & after the first Day of April in the Year one Thousand Eight hundred & six, discharged from all right of Property & Claim of service from me my Heirs Executors & administrators. As witness my Hand & Seal this twenty fourth Day of September one thousand eight Hundred & one. Thos. Bell {seal}
