Manumission Negro Alce from Sarah Woodmansee 1804

Know all men by these presents that I Sarah Woodmansee of mispillion hundred and county of Kent and State of Delaware being the sole owner and having the entire and exclusive right and property of a woman named Alce aged About thirty years_ do for certain good reasons me thereunto moving manumit liberate and fully set free the said negroe woman to be hereafter known by the name of Alce Woodmansee, and I do hereby declare that she is fully discharged from all and every claim or claims of future service for or from me my heirs Exrs administrators or assigns, and I do hereby declare her to be at full liberty to act and do for herself without being molested or hindered by me or my heirs Exrs. admrs. Or assigns or any other person or persons claiming under me or them or by any other person or persons whatsoever. In Testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and Seal this furteenth day of January in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and four. 1804. Sarah Woodmansee {seal}
