Manumission Charles from John Graham 1804

Know all men by these presents that I John Graham of the County of Kent and State of Delaware for divers good causes and considerations me thereunto moving do hearby enfranchise and set free my negro boy Charles he being three years of age and he the said negro to be free and at his own liberty at the expiration of twenty two years from and after the date hearof and further I do hearby warrant and forever defend the freedom of him the afsd negro agreeable to the trew maning of these presents from the lawfull claim of every pusen or pursens whatsoever claiming or to claim him the afsd. negro Charles by from or under me my heirs executors administrators and every of them as witness my hand and Seal this thurd day of february 1804. Kent County & State of Delaware } Before me the subscriber being one of the Justices of the peace in and for the County afsd personally appeared the above named John Graham and did acknowledge the above manumission to bee his actt and deed and the affsd negro Charls to bee free and at his own liberty att the Expiration of the affsd mentioned time as witness my hand and Seal this thurd day of feburay 1804.
