Be it Remembered that I Absolom Gibbs of Murderkill forrests, Kent County and State of Delaware free negro do this day agree with Richard Cocker Constable of the County aforesaid and it is agreed by and between the said Absolom Gibbs and Richard Cocker that if the said Richard Cocker shall bid off the Lands of Nimrod Jackson so as to become the purchaser and so as to save and include the said Absolom Gibbs debts agains said Nimrod Jackson then and in such case it is agreed by the said Absolom Gibbs and Richard Cocker that the purchaser Richard Cocker shall dispose of and sell unto the said Absolom twenty acres of the said lands at the southwest corner of said tract at the price of five Dollars per acre and that he the said Absolom Shall take it at said price and remit his debts and costs against said Jackson in part of the pay therefore Witness our Hands and Seals the 14th June 1810. State of Delaware Kent County Be it Remembered that at a Court of common pleas held at Dover on the first day of december 1814 personally came into open Court Daniel Ford who on this Solemn Oath said that he saw Richard Cocker and Absolom Gibbs the parties within named sign and seal the within instruments of writing and that he also heard them acknowledge the same to be their act and Deed and that he subscribed his name thereto as a witness and at the same time saw Samuel Jackson subscribe his name thereto as another witness In testimony whereof I have hereto set my hand and fixed the seal of the said Court the day & year aforesaid Nathaniel Smithers Pron
