Manumission Thomas Travers Negro from George Dehorty
I George Dehorty of Mispillion hundred, Kent County and State of Delaware, Do by these presents liberate manumit set free and discharge from Slavery my negro man Thomas Traverse now aged about twenty seven years, And do hereby promise and agree for my self my heirs Executors and administrators, that the said negro man Thomas Traverse shall and may from time to time and all times forever hereafter have use and enjoy all the rights and previlidges which a free negro is intitled to by the laws of this State, and that he shall and may at all times enjoy his freedom unmolested from any person or persons whatsoever under me my heirs Executors or administrators, In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and set this thirtieth day of March in the year of our Lord one thousand Eight hundred and seven. Kent County Delaware State} SS. Be it Remembered that George Dehorty appeared before me the subscriber and acknowledged the above manumission To be his act and Deed for the true purformine thereof this 30th day of March 1807. Ferd. Casson
