Manumission Susanah Shippy Negro from William Denny
Know all men by these presents that I William Denny of Duck Creek hundred Kent County and State of Delaware, do hereby manumit and set free Susanah Shippy negro, taken as a free person and at full liberty from the date hereof, I do hereby warrant and defend the freedom of the said Susanah against myself my heirs Exers. Admrs. as witness my had this first day of the sixth month. William Denny
State of Delaware Kent County } Ss. on the 2d day of June 1804 personally appeared William Denny Esqr. before me the subscriber one of the Justices of the Peace in and for said county – and Acknowledged the foregoing manumission as his act and deed and desired that it may be recorded as such. Given under my hand the day and year aforesaid. Jacob Stout.
