Know all men by these presents that I Samuel West Sen. of Kent County & State of Delaware am at present the owner & possessor of a slave Named Jessee about four years old which slave I hereby manumit, Liberate & set free from me my Heirs Executors or administrators whenever he shall come to the age of twenty one years old, which if he lives will be in the year Eighteen hundred and Eighteen as Witness my hand and Seal this Eleventh day of May Eighteen Hundred & one.
