Manumission George Raymond from William Knotts 1801

To all people to whom these presents may come Greeting Know ye that I William Knotts of Little [Creek] Hundred kent County and State of Delaware for divers and good causes me there unto moving do hereby manumit, set free and for ever discharge from slavery my negro or Molatto Man named George Raymond which I have Sold to Isaac Younger (of the State of Maryland) for the term of two years from the Sixth day of this Instant, to be free on the sixth day of June one thousand Eight hundred and three, from me my heirs Executors Administrators and assigns Reserving unto the aforesaid Isaac Younger the service of the said George Raymond for the said term of two years as aforesaid In witness where of I have hereunto set my hand and Seal this Seventeenth day of June one thousand eight Hundred and one.
