Manumission of Negro Abraham from John King

To all whom it may concern Know ye That for divers good causes and considerations me thereunto moving That I do hereby manumit and set free a certain negrow lad named Abraham after he shall serve me my heirs executors administrators or assigns until first day of January in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and twelve fully and freely releasing all claims of me my heirs executors administrators and assigns after the aforesaid Term is compleated and ended Witness my hand and seal this eighteenth day of June in the year one thousand Eight hundred and five 1805. State of Delaware Kent County ss. I do certify, that this day John King within named personally appeared before me James Lorden one of the Justices of the peace in and for said County and acknowledged the within seal and signature to be his, and the within instrument to be his act And deed and delivered for the use and purpose within mentioned In testimony of which I have hereunto set My hand and seal at Smyrna the fourth day of Demember AD 1812.
