Know all men by these presents, That I Benjamin Turner of Kent County, and State of Delaware, for divers good causes and Considerations me hereunto moving do hereby manumit enfranchise and absolutely Set free the herein mentioned Negroes in manner and form following Viz Abraham aged about Thirty and four years, to be free as afsd. from the date hereof. David aged about thirty five years, and Joseph aged about thirty five years both to be free from the date of these presents, Jude aged about Sixteen years to be free on the first day of January in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and four. Isaac aged about fourteen years to be free on the first day of Jany in the year of our Lord God One thousand Eight hundred and ten. I the afsd. Benjamin Turner do hereby declare and acknowledge the above mentioned and named Negroes to be fully discharged from me my Heirs executors administrators and every of them at the respective times above expressed, and I further warrant and defend the Liberty and freedom of the before named Negroes from the lawfull claim of me and every person or persons Claiming by from or under me, In Witness whereof I do hereby set my hand & Affix my Seal this the twentieth day of April Anno domini One thousand Seven hundred, and Ninety & Nine. 1799. Kent County & State of Delaware Before me John Ralston one of the Justices of the peace in & for the afsd. County on the 20th day of April in the year of our Lord One thousand Seven hundred & ninety nine, Personally appeared Benjamin Turner of the afsd. County in his property person, and did acknowledge and declare the within instrument of writing to be his act & deed according to the True meaning thereof.
