Manumission Negroe Thomas & others from Timothy Cummins

State of Delaware Kent County } Ss. To all persons to whom these presents shall come Greeting. Know ye, that for divers good causes and considerations me thereunto moving, I do hereby declare free, manumit, and enfranchise the following negroes, at the time herein after mentioned, viz. Thomas & Charles at the day & date of these presents. Darby, on the first day of January in the year Eighteen hundred & ten. Jude on the fourth day of June Eighteen hundred & Eleven & Margarett on the first day of December Eighteen hundred & thirteen, hereby releasing the said negroes from all claim of service & right of property, whatever from me, my heirs, Executors & administrators, from and after the above mentioned dates. In Testimony whereof I have hereunto affixed my  hand & seal this fourth day of January Eighteen hundred & nine. Timothy Cummins {seal}

Signed Sealed & delivered in presence of us Jeremiah Burchinal, John Rogers, The worlds &right of property whatever being first interlined} 

State of Delaware Kent County} Ss. Be it remembered that Timothy Cummins the party to the above instrument of writing come before me Abraham Ridgely one of the Justices of the peace in & for the County aforesaid, & acknowledged the above instrument of writing to be his act & deed, & the signature & seal thereunto annexed respectively to be his. Witness my hand this 4th day of January Anno Domini 1809.
