Know all men by these presents that I Philip Caverly of Kent County and State of Delaware for divers good causes and considerations me hereunto moving do hereby manumit enfranchise and absolutely set free the following black people, or negroes, at the time hereafter mentioned and first first Tabitha who was bought of Joseph Oliver to be free from the date hereof, and Isaac her Son to be free the last day may eighteen hundred and sixteen or when he arrives to the full age of twenty-one years, and I the aforesaid Philip Caverly do hereby warrant and defend the liberty and freedom of the afore mentioned black people from the lawfull claim of me my heirs Executors administrators and every other person claiming by from or under me In Testimony whereof I do hereby set my hand and affix my seal this fourth day of august eighteen hundred and four. State of Delaware Kent County} Personally appeared before me James Millechop one of the Justices assigned to keep the peace in and for the said county Negro Philip Caverly and acknowledged the within manumission of negroes Tabitha and Isaac her Son to be his act and deed according to the true intent and meaning thereof this 4th. day of august 1804. In testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and Seal, this day & year afsd. James Millechop
