Manumission Negro Selah From Henry Molleston esquire
Know all men by these presents that I Henry Moleston of Murtherkil hundred Kent County and State of Delaware, for divers good causes and considerations do by these presents manumit, liberate and set free a certain Negro girl named Sealy (which I bought at Sheriffs Sale as the property of John Milless some years past) aged now fifteen years to be free when she arrives to the age of twenty one years. And I do hereby further agree that the said Sealey from the time she shall arrive to the age of twenty one years shall be intitled to and enjoy all the rights, privileges and Immunities which a free Negro or Mullatto may or an have or enjoy by the laws of this State In Testamoney whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my Seal this second day of March in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and eight 1808. Kent County Ss.} I do hereby certify that the day personally appeared Henry Molleston Esqr. Before me John Lowber one of the Justices of the peace for said County, and acknowledged the Within Manumition to be his act and deed for the use and purpose therein Mentioned Given under my hand and seal at Dover this Second day of March A.D. 1808.
