Whereas I Othaniel Cacy farmer of Kent County & State of Delaware am Possessed of Negro man Named Richard now living in Maryland whom I am desirous of Manumitting and Dicharging from my service he is about thirty two years of age I Declare by these presents the aforesaid Negro to be free on the twenty fifth day of Next December 1804 and do Renounce all Right title claim & Interest to him for myself my heirs Executors or administrators given under my hand & Seal this third day of September 1804. Kent County State of Delaware } This may Certify to whom it may concern that the above manumission was signed sealed and Acknowledged by Othaniel Cacy Before me the subscriber one of the Justices of the Peace for said County_ to be the act & Deed of sd Cacy & that the above named Negro man Richard is by him manumitted & Discharged from his service according to the above Deed Acknowledged Before me this 3d. Septr 1804. Before me Abraham Pierce
