Manumission Negro Rachel & others from Thomas & Saml. Lambdin

Know all men by these presents that we Thomas Lambdin & Samuel Lambdin both of Murderkill hundred in Kent County in the State of Delaware hink it wrong and oppressive to hold Negros in abject slavery have and by these presents do manumate and set free one negro woman named Rachel when she shall arrive to the age of thirty years she being nineteen years old. and also a negro Girl Pricilla when she shall arrive to the age of twenty five years she being one month old to enjoy their freedom at the time aforesaid as all other free people can or may do and the freedom of the said Rachel and Pricilla from by through or under us our heirs executors administrators or assigns and from any other person or persons claiming or hereafter to claim do warrant and forever will defend by these presents sealed with our self and dated the sixth day of March in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and six. State of Delaware Kent County ss }  I do hereby certify that on the sixth day of March one thousand and six personally came Thomas Landin and Samuel Landin before me the subscriber one of the Justices of the peace for said County and did in my presents and before me the said Justice, sign seal and deliver the within Manumission and acknowledge the same as their act and deed for the purposes therein mentioned.
