Manumission Negro Priscilla & others From John W Bardley
Know all men by these presents that I John W Bardley of Queen Ann’s County in the State of Maryland Gentleman, for divers good causes and considerations me thereto moving have manumitted and set free and by these presents manumit and set free the following named negroes, late the property of John Fisher of Talbot County deceased at the respective times herein after mentioned that is to say Negro Priscilla from and immediately after the date of these presents, Kesiah her daughter aged about nine years old from and immediately after the twentieth day of May which will be in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and twenty seven Perry the son of the said Priscilla now about six years old from and immediately after the twenteeth day of may which will be in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and thirty one, and Allen also the son of the said Priscilla aged About one year old from and immediately after the twentieth day of May which will be in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred And thirty six; and from and immediately after those respective dates the said Kesiah, Perry and Allen to be respectively free and absolutely discharged from the service of myself my executors and administrators forever. In Witness whereof I the said John W. Berdley have hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal this twentieth day of May in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and twelve. State of Delaware Kent County SS } Be it remembered that John W Bordley personally appeared before me John Lowber one of the Justices of the peace in and for said County and acknowledged the above and foregoing manumition to be his act and deed for the use and purpose therein mentioned, Given under my hand and seal at Dover the 20th day of May A.D. 1812 John Lowber
