Manumission Negro Phillis & others From Henry Molleston Esquire

Know all men by these presents that, I Henry Moleston of Murtherkill hundred Kent County and State of Delaware for divers good causes and considerations do by these presents Manumit, liberate and set free the following described Negros in the following manner to wit, Negro Fillis aged about twenty eight years to be free forth with from the date of these presents, and her son Edward who was born on the third day of October one thousand seven hundred and ninety nine to be free when he arrives to the age of twenty five years; and her Daughter Nancy, now aged about Six years, to be free when she arrives to the age of twenty one years And I do hereby further agree that the said Fillis, from the date hereof, and the said Edward after his ariving to the age of twenty five years and the said Nancy after her Arriving to the age of twenty one years, shall be entitled to and enjoy all the rights previleges and immunities which a free Negro or Mulatto may or can have or enjoy by the laws of this State. In testamoney whereof I have here to set my hand and affixed my seal this second day of March in the year of our Lord one thousandeight hundred and eight. 1808. Henry Molleston {seal}

State of Delaware Kent County Ss. } I do certify that Henry Moleston esqr appeared before me John Lowber one of the Justices of the Peace for said County, and acknowledged the within Manumition to be his act and deed for the use and purpose therein mentioned Given under my hand and Seal at Dover the Second day of March 1808.
