Manumission Negro Peter Laws from Outten Laws

Know all men by these presents that I, Outten Laws of Little Creek Hundred, Kent County and State of Delaware, for divers good causes and considerations, do by these presents Manumit, liberate and set Free, a certain negro man named Peter Laws, Aged about thirty six Years, and I do hereby further agree that the said negro Peter, shall from and after the date of these presents, be intitled to and injoy all the rights, Priveleges and immunites which a Free Negro or mulatto may or can have or injoy By the Laws of this State. In Testamoney whereof I have hereunto set my hand and Affixed my seal this third day of August_ in the year of our Lord one Thousand Eight hundred and five. 1805. Outten Laws {seal}

Sealed & Delivered in presence of John Pemberton, William M.Clyment,

State of Delaware Kent County Ss.} I do hereby certify that on the third day of August in the Year of our Lord one thousand Eight Hundred and five Appeared Outten Laws before me John Lowber one of the Justices of the peace For said County, and Acknowledged the within Manumition to be his Act and Deed for the Use and purpose therein mentioned.
