Manumission Negro Perry FROM Wm Spencer
Know all men by these presents that I William Spencer of the Village of Camden, in Kent County and State of Delaware do hereby from a full presentation of the injustice of slavery, manumit and set absolutely free my negro Boy named Perry, when he shall arrive at the age of Twenty one yeares, being five years old the tenth day of this present Month; That he the said Perry, from and after his arrival at the age of Twenty one years as afs. Shall be free to all intents and purposes, from me or any person Claiming by from or under me to enjoy all the priviledges which a free negro or a free mulato can or may do under the Laws of this State. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand & affixed my seal this third day of the eighth Month Eighteen hundred and Ten 1810. William Spencer {seal}
Signed sealed and delivered in the presence of James Denney, Benj. Brady
State of Delaware. Kent County Ss.} I hereby certify that on the third day of August in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and Ten personally came William Spencer before me Benjamin Brady one of the Justices of the peace for said county and acknowledged the above Manumission as his act and deed and delivered the same for the purpose therein Mentioned Given under my hand and seal the day and year above written Benj Brady
