Know all men by these prests that I William Denny of Duck Creek hundred Kent County and State of Delaware do hereby manumitt and set free my Negro man Moses Shippy he being about twenty one year old as Witness my hand the 5th day of the 3 mo. 1807. William Denny

Kent County Sst. Personally appeared William Denny before me the subscriber one of the Justices of the Peace in and for said County and acknowledged the foregoing manumission to be his act and deed and desired that the same may be Recorded as such. March 5th 1807. Jacob Stout
