Manumission Negro Lydia From Curtis Beswick.

Know all men by these presents that I Curtis Beswick of Kent County and State of Delaware for divers good causes and considerations me hereunto moving do hereby Manumit and absolutely set free a certain Negro Girl named Lidia aged twenty three years the first day of April last past born the property of Robert Minors decd. late of the county and State afsd. out of whose Estate I became possessed of the afsd. negro Lidia to be free and, at her own liberty at the full end Experation of ten years from the first day of October next which will be in the year of our Lord Eighteen hundred and seventeen and I the afsd. Curtis Beswick do hereby and acknowledge the above named Lidia to be fully discharged from me my heirs Exctor Administor and every of them from the time afsd. And do hereby warrant and defend the liberty and freedom of the before Named Negro Lidia from all claims lawful of me my hers Exctors Administrators and every other person or persons lawfully claiming or to claim by from or under me I testimony whereof I do hereunto set my hand and seal this thirtieth day of September Anno Domini 1807. State of Delaware Kent County } Personally appeared before me James Millechop one of the Justices of the Peace in and for the said County Curtis Beswick the same who signed sealed & acknowledged the above Manumission of Negro Lydia, and acknowledged the same to be his act and deed in due form of law This 29 day of September 1807.
