Manumission Negro Lurano From Samuel Wharton

Know all men by these presents that I Samuel Wharton of St Jones hundred, Kent County and State of Delaware, for divers good causes and considerations do by these presents manumit liberate and set free a  certain negro Girl by the name of Lurana aged about eighteen years which I this day bought of my brother Charles Brincklo and do hereby further agree that the said Learn from the expiration of ten years, shall be entitled to and enjoy all the rights, priveledges and immuneties which a free Negro or mulato may or can have or enjoy by the Laws of this state. In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal the fifteenth day of February A.D. 1813. Samuel M. Wharton {seal}

State of Delaware Kent County SS }  I do hereby certify that Samuel Wharton appeared before me James Schee, one of the Justices of the peace for said County and acknowledged the above manumission to be his act and deed for the use and purpose thereinmentioned. Given under my hand and seal at Dover February 15th 1813. James Schee
