Manumission Jenny and others from James Turley 1804

Know all men by these presents that I James Turley of Murderkill hundred Kent County and State of Delaware, for divers Good causes me thereunto moving, do hereby manumit and Set free and at full Liberty a certain Negro Woman named Jenny about thirty six years of age as also her two children, namely James about the age of two years and Grace about the age of two months, to be set free and at full Liberty for themselves from the date hereof – as Witness my hand and Seal this 6th day of November in the year of our Lord one Thousand Eight hundred and four. State of Delaware Kent County Sst} I do certify that James Turley appeared before me the Subscriber one of the Justices of the peace and acknowledged the above manumission as his act and deed for the use and purpose therein mentioned. Novr. 6 1804. John Lowber.
