Know all men by these presents that I Henry Molleston of Murtherkill Hundred Kent County and State of Delaware for divers good causes and Considerations do by this presents Manumit Liberate and Set free My Negro Man Jim aged about twenty Eight years to be entitled to enjoy all the right preveledges And immunites which a free negro or Mulatto May or can leave or enjoy by the Laws of this State in Testimony wharf have to set my hand And affixed my Seal this 13th day of April In the year of Lord EighteenHundred and Thirteen 1813. State of Delaware Kent County} SSt I hereby Certify that Henry Molleston Esquire personally appeared before me Nathaniel Smithers one of the Justices of the peace for said county and did acknowlege the above manumission as his act and dead for the uses & purposes therein mentioned – In Testamony whereof I have here un to set my hand & Seal the 15th day of April Anno Dom. 1813 – Nathl.
