Manumission Negro Henrietta & others from Levin Woodall
Know all men by these presents that I Levin Woodall of the state of Maryland now in Camden state of Delaware do manumit & set absolutely free my several negroes that I bought of John Massey of the state of Maryland Viz. My negro woman Henrietta or Henny (so called) to be free from this date, and my negro Girl called Debby or Debb to be free at the age of twenty five years she now being about two years old. Also my negro boy called Frisby when he shall arrive to twenty eight years of age he now being about four months old which children Debby or Debb & the negro boy Frisby so called when they arrive to the age of twenty five years & the boy when he call arrive to the age of twenty eight years and their mother called Henny as before mentioned to be free from this date and upon the above terms and conditions I do manumit the sad negros before mentioned so as the Girl & her issue shall be free at the time mentioned if she should have any and the Boy and his mother at the time fixed upon for the true performance of the said freedom of the above negros I do warrant and defend their liberty from me and my heirs and from any other person or persons whatever in the full and Just sum of three hundred pounds to be paid to the said mother Henny as is before mentioned should their be any dispute about their freedom, with freedom annexed also, and will acknowledge this manumission according to law and have the same recorded in Dover agreeable to an act of Assembly of the Delaware state made & provided done and executed at Camden in the Delaware state this Fourteenth day June Eighteen hundred & ten as Witness my hand and Seal. State of Delaware Kent County Ss. } I do hereby certify that on the fourteenth day of June in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and ten personally amp Levin Woodall of the state of Maryland before e Benjamin Brady one of the Justices of the Peace in and for said County and did acknowledge the within manumission and deliver the same as his act and deed for the use and Purposes therein mentioned. Given under my hand and seal at Camden the day and year above written. Benj. Brady
