Manumission Henneritta White and Mary from Richard Harrington 1804

Know all men by these presents that I Richard Harrington of Kent County and State of Delaware for the sum of seven pounds seventeen shillings to me paid or secured to be paid, do hereby manumit set free and discharge, my negro woman Henney, alias Henneritta White, to enjoy her full liberty as other free persons do, and I do further warrant and defend the freedom of the said Henney from my heirs executors & admrs. and from all manner of person or persons claiming by from or under me now claiming or shall hereafter claim any rite or property whatsoever in her the said Henney, and I do also manumit and set free my negro child, Mary, the infant daughter of the said Henney and do warrant and defend the freedom of the said Mary, as aforesaid, Given under my Hand and Seal the ninth day of april in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and four 1804. State of Delaware Kent County Sst.  } I do Certify that Richard Harrington personally Appeared before me John Lowber one of the Justices of the peace for said county and acknowledged the within manumition to be his act and deed for the use and purpose therein mentioned Given under my hand the 9th day of April 1804.
