Manumission Negro Grace from Edward Elliott
Know all men by these presents, that I Edward Elliott of Mispillion Hundred, Kent County and State of Delaware, for divers good Causes and Considerations do by these presents, manumit, liberate and set free, a Certain Negro Woman named Grace, aged twenty four years, the twenty forth day of August next, and do hereby further agree that the said, Grace, from and after the twenty forth day of August in the Year of our Lord one Thousand eight Hundred and Seven Shall be entitled to and enjoy all the Rights privilages and emmunities which a free Negro or Mulatto may or can have or enjoy by the Laws of this State: _ In Witness whereof I have hereto set my hand and affixed my seal this thirteenth day of May in the Year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and five

State of Delaware Kent County Sst} I do certify that on the thirteenth day of May in the year of our Lord one Thousand eight hundred and five, appeared Edward Elliott before me John Lowber one of the Justices of the peace for said County, and then and there acknowledged the written Manumition to be his act and deed for the use and purpose therein mentioned, Given under my hand at Dover the day and year aforesaid.
