Manumission Negro George from William Denny

Know all men by these presents that I William Denny of Duck Creek Hundred Kent County and State of Delaware, do hereby Manumit and set free my negro Man George, he having had his liberty some time, now in his twenty second year of his age, so that from hence forth the said George shall be deemed adjudged and taken as a free person and at full liberty from the date hereof: And further I the afsd. William Denny do hereby warrant and defend the freedom of the afsd. George against my self my heirs, the Eleventh day of the Sixth month 1805_ as witness my hand and seal. William Denny {seal}

State of Delaware Kent County} Ss. On the 11th day of June 1805 Personally appeared William Denny before me the subscriber one of the Justices of the peace in and for said County and acknowledged the foregoing manumission as his act and Deed and desired that it might be recorded as such given under my hand.
