Manumission Negro George & Betty from John George

I do hereby manumit and set absolutely free from me my heirs Executors or Administrators the following named negroes at the ages and times hereinafter expressed. Viz. my negro Boy George now about Eleaven years and six months to be free at the age of twenty one years; my negro Girl Betty now about thirteen years and six months old to be free at the age of twenty one years. Witness my hand and seal this twelfth day of the Eleventh month Eighteen hundred and eight. John George {seal}

State of Delaware Kent County Ss.} I hereby certify that on the twelfth day of November in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and eight personally came John George party of the above instrument of writing before me the subscriber one of the Justices of the peace for said county and did in my presence and before me the said Justice acknowledge the said instrument to be his act and deed and delivered the same for the purposes therein mentioned.
