Manumission Negro David from Francis Barber
Know all men by these presents, that I Francis Barber, of Dover hundred Kent County and State of Delaware, for divers good causes and considerations, do by these presents, manumit, liberate and set-free, a certain negro Man named David aged twenty-five years or there abouts, and do hereby further agree that he the said David from the day of the date hereof shall be entitled to and enjoy all the rights, privileges and immunities which a free negro or mulatto may or can have or enjoy by the Laws of this State In Testimony whereof I have hereto set my had and affixed my Seal this twenty ninth day of April in the year of our Lord one Thousand eight hundred & five.

Sealed & Delivered in presence of John Lowber, Rubin Gilder,
State of Delaware Kent County Ss.} I do hereby certify that on the Twenty ninth day of April in the year of our lord one Thousand eight hundred and five, appeared Francis Barber before me John Lowber one of the Justices of the peace for said County, and acknowledged the within Manumition to be his act and Deed for the use and purpose therein mentioned.
