Manumission Negro Cuffee & others from George Cummins & Thos. Clayton
To all persons to whom these presents shall come Know ye that we George Cummins and Thomas Clayton have manumitted and freed and by these presents do manumit and free the following named negroes at the several times and ages herein after mentioned to wit, Cuffee from the date hereof, Fanny aged thirty two on the first day of May which will be in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and seven, the youngest child of the said Fanny named on the first day of May in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and thirty, Hannah from the date hereof, Betsey aged twenty two on the first day of May Eighteen hundred and eight, Abraham aged twenty two on the first day of May Eighteen hundred and Eleven, Rachel aged twenty on the first day of May Eighteen hundred and ten, George aged eighteen from the first day of May Eighteen hundred and fifteen, James aged fifteen on the first day of May Eighteen hundred and eighteen, Jacob aged twelve on the first day of May Eighteen hundred and twenty one, Loda aged ten on the first day of May Eighteen hundred and twenty three, Garrett aged five on the first day of May Eighteen hundred and twenty seven, Reuben aged four on the first day of May Eighteen hundred and twenty nine, John aged eight on the first day of May Eighteen hundred and twenty five, Maria aged seven on the first day of May Eighteen hundred and twenty three, Daniel aged four on the first day of May Eighteen hundred and twenty nine, Tency aged six on the first day of May Eighteen hundred and Twenty four, Fanny aged thirty, wife of George on the first day of May Eighteen hundred and nine, all of which sd. Negroes were formerly the property of Thomas Jackson deceased. In Testimony whereof we have hereto set our hands and affixed our seals this Eighteenth Day of March Eighteen hundred and five.
