Manumission Negro Charles & others from Mary Chambers

This is to certify to all whom it May concern that a certain negroe Boy named Charles and a certain negroe Girl named Nancy formerly the property of John Chambers deceased and now the property of the subscriber and also a negroe Man named Roger shall be liberated and freed from me my heirs Executors and Administrators and all other persons whomsoever at the several Different times herein mentioned Viz. the negroe Boy Charles was born in november seventeen hundred and Eighty five and shall be free as aforesaid when he arrives at the age of twenty five Years. negroe Girl Nancy was born in April seventeen hundred and Eighty and shall be free as aforesaid when she arrives at the age of twenty three years and negroe Man Roger shall be free as Aforesaid when he arrives at the age of twenty eight years as Witness My hand this twenty fourth day of June in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred & one.

State of Delaware Kent County Ss.} I hereby certify that on the 13th day of May 1806 personally came Mark Greer one of the subscribing witnesses to the within Manumission before me Benjamin Brady one of the Justices of the peace in and for said County and did solemnly swore on the holy evangels of almighty God that he was present at the time when the within Manumission was executed and did see Mary Chambers sign her name to the same and acknowledge the same as her act and Deed and did also subscribe his name as a witness.
