Manumission negro Celea From William Bolton

To all persons whome it may concern know ye that for divers good causes I William Bolton do hereby manumit and set free my negro Girl Celea aged twelve years and six months to be free and at full liberty upon the first day of november 1828 it being y intendtion to retain the services of the said girl unto myself my heirs executors administrators or assigns until she arrives to the age of thirty years and then that she shall be free and enjoy all priveliges which free black persons is intitled to in the state of Delaware witness my hand and seal at Smyrna the 6th day of May A.D. 1811

State of Delaware Kent County Ss} May 6 1811. Personally came William Bolton before me one of the Justices of the peace in and for the county of Kent and state of Delaware and did acknowledge the within manumission to be his act and deed and delivered for the use and purpose therein mentioned in Testimony of which I have hereunto set my hand and seal at Smyrna the 6th day of May A.D. 1811.  James Sorden —
