Manumission Negro Ceasor White from James Sorden

Whereas the subscriber now having in his own right and in his possession a negroe boy named Ceasar White, supposed to be between thirteen and fourteen years of age and being desirous to secure him his freedom at a  time hereafter specifyed do hereby manumit and set at full Liberty the aforesaid Ceasar on the first day of January which may happen in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and nineteen – my intention being to secure him his liberty after serving thirteen years from this first day of January next given under my hand and seal this 15th day of February Eighteen hundred and five — 1805

State of Delaware Kent County ss} I do certify that James Sorden appeared before me John Lowber one of the Justices of the peace for said county and acknowledged the above manumission to be his act and Deed for the use and purpose therein mentioned, Given under my hand and seal at Dover the eleventh day of February 1806.
