Manumission negro Cealey From Purnell Daniel

Know all men by these presents that Purnell Daniel of Mispillion hundred Kent County and state of Delaware farmer for several good causes and considerations dos by these presents mannumit liberate and set free a certain Negro Girl named Cealey about twenty years of age to be free on the fifth day of May eighteen hundred and nineteen and after that time Be intitled to all the rights privileges and immunities which free negros or molatoes may or can have or injoy by the Laws of this state. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and fixed my seal this the fifth day of May eighteen hundred & twelve 1812

State of Delaware Kent County SS.}  Be it remembered that on the fifth day of May one thousand eight hundred and twelve personally Appeared Purnell Daniel before me John Lowber one of the Justices of the peace for said County and acknowledged the above manumission to be his act and deed for the use and purpose therein mentioned. Given under my hand and seal at Dover the day and year aforesaid. John Lowber
