Manumission Benjamin from William M Satterfield 1805

Know all men by these present that I William M Satterfield of kent County and State of Delaware for divers good causes and considerations me hereunto moving do hereby manumit enfranchise and absolutely set free a negro man named Benjamin to be free and at his liberty the second day of february eighteen hundred and ten, and I the aforesaid William M Satterfield do hereby warrant and defend the liberty and freedom of the above named black man from the lawfull claim of me my heirs executors administrators and every other person claiming by from or under me In testimony whereof I do hereby set my hand and affix my Seal this twenty seventh day of February eighteen hundred and five.

State of Delaware Kent County } Before me James Millechop one of the Justices of the peace in & for the said County, Personally appeared William M Satterfield, the person who subscribed to the within manumission of a negro man named Benjamin, and acknowledged the same to be his act & deed according to the true intent and meaning thereof. Given under my hand and Seal at my office in Milford this 27th day of February 1805. James Millechop
