Manumission Negro Benjamin from Benjamin Hazel.
Know all men by these presents that I Benjamin Hazel of Kent County and State of Delaware for divers good causes and considerations do hereby Manumit and set free from Slavery my Negro Boy Benjamin (which I purchased from James Sorden) Reserving to my self my heirs Executors Administrators or Assigns his servises for and during the full end and Term of sixteen years & ten months from the day of the date as Witness my hand and seal this Eighth day of December in the year of our Lord One thousand eight hundred & six. 1806.

State of Delaware Kent County Sst} I do hereby certify that Benjamin Hazel came before me the subscriber one of the Justices of the peace for said County and acknowledged the above manumation in due form Given under my hand and seal at Dover the eighth day of December one thousand eight hundred and six. 1806.
