Know all men by these presents that I Ann T Pettigrew of the Village of Milford Kent County & State of Delaware for divers good causes and considerations me hereunto moving do hereby manumit enfranchise and absolutely set free my Negro Man named Jerry to be free and at his full and perfect liberty on the first day of January eighteen hundred and fifteen at which time he will be about twenty seven years old And I do hereby warrant and defend the Liberty and freedom of the said Negro Man Jerry from Myself my heirs executors and administrators and from all and every Person lawfully claiming or to claim by from or under me In Testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affix my seal this ninth day of November Adomoni 1813.
